After last week’s dry spell, seeing some fish on the ice is a welcome sight as the bite continues to pick up. If you’re marking fish, stick with it until they feed, or rip until they strike. Our snow event added a few inches this morning, and warm temperatures this afternoon provided great snow for snowballs and snowmen. There are 3-6 inches of snow on 17 inches of ice, creating perfect conditions for the foreseeable future. The forecasted highs are in the 20s, with single digits at night for the next 7 days. Regardless of whether the groundhog sees its shadow or not, there are six more weeks of Walleye season on Little Bay de Noc. There’s plenty of time to get on the Noc to enjoy what will certainly go down as epic. Tonight’s photo is some of the many extending their weekend on what seems like a gloomy afternoon. Nope, not on the Noc. It’s perfect!
Increasing your odds,
