It’s Saturday, and cleats are back in fashion, along with sunglasses. The powerful sun’s rays beat down on the snowless bay this morning before clouds moved in and out periodically this afternoon. It’s just like being on the open water, getting a double dose of UV. Sunscreen might be needed. Trucks are roaming the top of the bay, and light machines with portables are scattered to the south as far as the ice allows. Big pike and walleyes are making their way to the top of the ice with work. A-list anglers only. You’ll need to be at the top of your game to make it happen. Did I mention big perch too? Check out this beauty set on the scale at Blade’s Bait & Tackle. Scott Bourdeau of Wells, Michigan, coaxed this 2.18-pound perch up through the hole and onto his wall. Thanks for bringing in this really nice fish Scott!
