The wind has been steady out of the south for the first time in a while. Any change is welcome as anglers continue to work hard catching fish. It’s not just walleye; perch have gone on a diet as well. Finding fish is not a problem, though. Keep at it—it’s a jigging thing. Figure out how to get any reaction and hook up. It’s a time to rip hard and downsize a Beaver Lure, Shiver Minnow, or Rap. Now is a good time for that front hook, like it or not. Travel on the bay is drifted. Trucks with good tires and a shovel are working fine so far. Extensions are a reality now in many areas, if not for the 20 or more inches of ice, the snow pack on top requires some extra length. A drift for tonight’s picture. A nice sight in your tail lights.
