The forecasted temperature of 44° came to fruition today. Not in the forecast was the brilliant sunshine we got from 11:00 – 4:00. That’s great, just great! I needed to get a base tan for our Spring Florida trip anyway….Not! The good news is the crack/heaves on the bay didn’t change much & we didn’t gain or lose ice. The composition of the ice just changed a little bit. Covering the 6 to 10” of ice on the Bay is an 1/8” of softened slushy ice that’s sure to firm up again by morning.
Like a typical Monday, there weren’t many anglers out on da Bay so fishing pressure is light. Here’s some of that light pressure. Our guests Rick, Eric, Bob & Bob, who are staying on the ice the next couple nights, got on the board with this 26” Walleye tonight. Good start! Nice Fish Rick!
