What a beautiful morning. At 15° the bay is absent of snow and slipperier than snot on a doorknob. Several reports of anglers going RIGHT DOWN! And they don’t get up fast after hitting that hard ice. Unless you’re chasing a flag…then all bets are off. Adrenaline takes over but you can sure feel it later. Ice is maintaining nicely since the Christmas warm up. Now its time to thicken up before another snow. The head of the bay seems pretty locked in. The south end of the upper bay? 5-6 inches of ice off the Kipling landing north past the reefs.
