Good Til It’s Not

It’s a Little Bay de Noc kind of day out there—alive and kicking! The landings have suffered severely from this recent warm snap. Shallow water at The Yellow Gate landing failed to do its job of supporting a Subaru coming off last night. It almost made it, but missed it by not much… This is a good indicator that truck travel is over. Travel with light machines will likely continue, but they won’t be immune to finding soft ice in the shallows either. Check the ice ahead of you and your insurance coverage. The upper bay is a sloppy mess as of noon today. All of that is bound to change when these ice pellets whipping you in the face turn to dry snow as temperatures drop overnight. I’ll be on the ice tomorrow to report the conditions we are left with after this March winter storm does what it does.

Increasing your odds,
