It’s 8 o’clock eastern time, 38° and raining. The forecast is calling for 1/2“ of rain. Tomorrow evening we are going to chill off and firm things up for the weekend. Ice conditions have been holding up very well and I’ll be checking the landings tomorrow again to see how they’ve held up through this heat wave. The bite slowed down since Sunday and probably will pick up after this front moves through in time for weekend anglers. And there’s going to be a bunch of ‘em. The fishing tournament on Little Bay de Noc this coming weekend is the 2nd Annual Big Freeze Derby and it is also Free Fishing Weekend in Michigan. So you’re not required to have a license to fish. Don’t miss it!
