Snowmobiles are running around the Bay along with a few quads. Ice conditions continue to improve through today. I found anywhere from 5 1/2” to 8 1/2” of ice from the Kipling landing all the way up past Center Reef. Reports of deep snow drifting yesterday on that east side have now melted down a little bit, making wheeler traffic better than yesterday(when some struggled to keep it moving even with chains). Some slush pockets are starting to develop. I’m sure as the week goes on we may find more that. With the forecast unseasonably warm, I am hopeful that ice will be good through New Year’s. If the warm weather continues to plague us into the next week we’ll see how the ice fares out. The picture tonight is of all kinds of anglers taking advantage of the mild weather enjoying some time on Little Bay de Noc. Fishing report… Still Slammin ‘em!
