It was 3° this morning. If I were a betting man, I’d say it’s the last time we’re gonna see a temperature that low until next season. We’ll take it though. The cold night should help keep safe ice through the end of walleye season. The warm temperatures starting Monday and rain in the forecast Wednesday and Thursday will probably put a thumping on our ice conditions. After a tight lipped week, fish started to pop throughout the weekend. Big fish are being caught. This is the last big push now! Get on a big walleye and end this season right! We have been out on Little Bay de Noc in every weather condition you can imagine. Some of our best times catching fish are when conditions suck….especially near the end of season when warm windy days and water on the ice does it’s back and forth. Freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw. The archive picture today is one of those thawing days. Rubber boots and cleats recommended.
