It’s 11° below zero this morning and we’re on our way to a high of 10° by midday. Ice is great everywhere except the usual spots. If you’re not sure where those caution areas are, stop by Blade’s Bait & Tackle for some Intel. Fishing reports have been fair to good from this weekend. The big ones are certainly roaming the bay. With the mild weather forecast, this is the time for you to be fishing Little Bay de Noc. In a whisper with urgency, our friend Toby always says “GET OUT THERE NOW!!” If you could hear Toby’s voice, you’d grab your gear and head for the hard water ASAP. Toby‘s lived here and fished the bay all of his life. Wise advice for sure. We had guests Brad and his father Bruce from Hayward, WI stay with us over the weekend. They met up here with their friend Dave from the opposite direction in Michigan. They were outfitted in our 21’ drop down covered wagon. They caught fish, but no trophies… this trip. I know they mentioned missing something big. That’s always motivation to come back. Thanks Brad, Bruce and Dave!
