What a great start this morning at 9° and the sound of ice popping. Conditions continue to improve through out the bay. Break up ice and slush from last weeks winds are firming up again and ice continues to form south of Gladstone. The bright sunny day with a high of 25° made for a great day on Little Bay de Noc. The bite slowed compared to the weekend but that didn’t stop Gunner from catching this nice perch jigging a Rapala. Nothing better than a happy kid and his fish. I’m sure he’ll remember this hard water adventure with his grandparents forever. Thanks Steve and Jody! The 5 day forecast of cold nights in the low teens is ideal for making ice and the mild temps in the 20’s for day time highs will make it easy to stay on the ice longer. Which usually means more fish caught.
